Hi everyone

Thanks for checking out our website! I’m Kevin Murray and I became the pastor of Emmanuel way back in 1994. That is so hard for me to believe that it has been that long and yet time has flown by. My wife Johnna and I have been married for almost 21 years (May 19, 1990). We met at Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and since that time we have had four boys. Tanner is our oldest son (18) followed by Logan (16) Ethan (14) and, last be not least, Lane (6 MONTHS). I hear you laughing. Well, that’s ok because that’s exactly what Lane has brought to our house - a lot of laughter!

God has been so good to our family and we feel so blessed by God to be able to serve the folks in Piggott, Campbell, Malden, Pollard, Greenway, and all the other communities that represent Emmanuel Baptist Church. Over the past 16+ years, we have really seen the Hand of God do some incredible things at this church and we know that God will continue to do even Greater things than we have already seen. My heart's desire is to see people from all walks of life come to know Jesus Christ in a personal way. I can say, without a doubt, that Jesus Christ is the best thing to ever happen to me. My life would be totally different had it not been for me coming to know Christ as a teenage boy in Marmaduke, Arkansas. I know what He has done for me and that’s why I want to spend the rest of my life telling others what He can do for them.
